Participating in the Conference were senior executives of the Government of Laos, the Central ministries and branches and many businessmen. One of the main conference contents is introducing the draft of Law on Electricity and Mines. The conference attracted much attention of the investors from Vietnam, as this is a focus sector in economic development cooperation between the two countries Vietnam and Laos.

Before the conference taking place, Viet-Lao Power Joint Stock Company supported Lao Ministry of Energy and Mines an amount of 20,000,000 LAK (equivalent to 40,000,000 VND) in organizing the Conference.
