President begins tour of three European countries

The visits, the first by a Vietnamese President to those nations, are made at the invitations of Austrian President Heinz Fischer, Norwegian King Harald V and Greek President Karolos Papoulias. 

The visits aim to boost Vietnam’s friendship and multifaceted cooperation with the three countries. They are expected to generate opportunities for the sides to exchange views on issues of common concerns and enhance coordination at international forums. President Triet will also seek more favourable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to live and integrate into local communities.

President Triet is scheduled to visit Austria from June 2-4, Norway from June 4-7, and Greece from June 9-10.
