Attending the Ceremony were Lao Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad, Vietnamese Ambassador to Lao PDR Ta Minh Chau, representatives of ministries, branches and appropriate authorities of Vientiane Capital and many Vietnamese and Lao entrepreneurs.

Having participated in the Lao market since 2002, with the initial purpose of implementing the Agreement on electrical energy development signed between the Governments of both countries, Viet-Lao Power Joint Stock Company (VLPC), the Investor of Vientiane Plaza, is the leading Vietnamese enterprise in the power investment and trading in the Lao PDR, with the total investment value of approximate $2 billion. After many years of conducting business in the Lao PDR, VLPC determined to diversify its business lines by investing in a complex of Hotel (3-star standard) and Offices for Lease named Vientiane Plaza with the total investment capital of approximate $10 million. The Project was officially commenced on June 16th, 2008. After more than 2 years of construction, Vientiane Plaza has been completed and is officially put into operation.
